Updates

Hello Dance Families,

I hope everyone is finding some light at the end of the tunnel with reopening to this new normal. It was amazing to get back in the studio last week and hearing the screams of excitement and seeing the air hugs of dancers that had only seen each other through the screen of our online classes the last two months.  If we take anything away from this adventure, I hope time with family has a new meaning, we come back more kind, and we are stronger than ever.

Here are our updates to our events so far.  I want to be as transparent as I can be with our options below as our window of time is narrowing down to close this dance season.

Thank you again for your continued support!

We are still fighting and hoping this show will happen for our dance families.  We are now to our last option as riding on this rescheduling wave gets us to this final point. If restrictions are still against us this final time we will then have to move on to next year and cross that bridge.

Number one importance to us is getting the kids on stage safely and feeling prepared as they can be with everything that has been against us in the last two months. Again all of this is for your dancer.  With that in mind we would like to add more rehearsals leading up the performance so that we can better prepare your dancers. These rehearsals would be at the studio.

Once Upon A Dream Class Rehearsals:  We will be rehearsing just their stage performances during this time. Since this is such a vital time and a shorter time frame of 30 minutes we hope you understand that attendance for safety is most important. Please contact our office at 402-999-6368 if your dancer is unable to make this work for the month of June leading up to our performance on July 1st!

In the meantime, I am working on getting all of our rehearsal videos in one place.  Classes are still available on our “Connect Program” where I know some classes have rehearsal videos available. We encourage your dancers to do as much prep work as possible.

Tickets:  Tickets will now be available to purchase only at the studio.   Please stop by our office to purchase those General Admission tickets. To show our sincere thanks and gratitude, those that have stuck with us during this time and have already purchased tickets we will be giving each family an additional two tickets.  Please stop by the office to pick those up on June 18th, 2020.  Please share with family and friends! Everyone will love some live entertainment.

Costumes will be distributed on June 25, 2020. We are planning on putting up tents for holding rooms for our dancers at the performance.   If we find that restrictions still have not loosen up and or if we don’t feel it is safe with all our costumes/changes we will go to Plan B.

-Plan B would be to give the dancers a performance tshirt, and use personal leggings/shorts/leotard etc.  This would eliminate changes and keep social distancing to our best ability without adding too much personal belongings in the same space.  We will then credit your dancer’s account for costumes for our 2020-2021 season.  This call will be made in June before costumes go out.  Again we want the overall experience to be safe and still be very entertaining.

We will be collecting tshirts sizes as a backup plan when we have a finalized count on everyone involved the first week in June.

Pictures are scheduled for June 28th. We will be using the same picture time schedule that was available in our recital packet. I will update those times once we know our final decision on show logistics, as this will be affected if costumes will be used.

Senior dancers don't forget to still send in your graduation pictures and bio for the program.  We want this to be as special as we can make it for you.

Summer Program

We will continue to move forward with our Summer Program with Private Lessons, Camps, and Classes starting in June.  All our camps will move forward in our studio with our health and safety being our number one priority.   Please see our guidelines on our main page of our website. We hope your dancer can join us for our fun summer program.

Registration for 2020-2021

We will open our online registration June 1st, 2020 for our new season.  We hope you can join us for another amazing year of dance and growth! We have mailed out class placements for next year.  Please be on the look out! We want to be part of your dancer's journey!! So don't miss out on getting into those classes.

 Xtreme Team 2020-2021

Calling all dancers ready to take their skills, technique and performance to the next level.  If your dancer is interested in being part of our competitive program, we will be offering a new audition process for this year.

We will be requiring a video submission for our first portion in May. Our deadline for our first portion is this Friday May 15th. Your dancer will know if they have made the team by this first submission.  Once they have made the team, then your dancer would be required to be part of our second portion in June which would include our annual bootcamp. The bootcamp is a full week of amazing classes from guest artists from all over the country.  This is where your dancer would have their final placement for groups and levels for our competitive season. More details about our bootcamp is included in our summer program packet.  This is available online under our competitive program link.

Updates

April 26, 2020

Hello Dance Families,

First I want to thank all of you for your continued support this season.  It will be one that none of us will forget.  I appreciate everyone's hard work in continuing your dancer's education with our online classes.

As we head into our final week of online classes for our 2019-2020 season we want to encourage your dancer's to keep stretching and working on their personal dance journey in May.  We can't wait to have everyone back together and doing what we love in our studio.

As we move forward we have no idea on what this next chapter is going to look like, but we want to be proactive so that when our new normal continues we can continue to provide a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for our dancers.  Your support and enrollment with our camps and classes is what is going to help guide us in our overall structure leading into our summer and fall programs.
