studio health and Safety guidelines

As we continue to navigate through this pandemic and public health concerns, we want to let you know that our staff will do everything we can to provide a safe and healthy environment for your family.

  • Smitty’s Performing Arts Center will do it’s best to follow all health guidelines and make informed decisions about any necessary adjustments to all classes, rehearsals and season.

  • We have made changes to some ways we function to promote distancing and enhance cleaning in high traffic areas.

    • All dancers must wear a facemask when not in class at all times, unless notified by staff.

    • Before and after each class all dancers must hand sanitize or wash hands. Hand sanitizers are located outside each studio and in the lobby.

    • Parents/Guardians will only be allowed in the building with a mask.  Waiting area will be closed for Parents/Guardians until further notice. We do understand those that are younger and or new to SPAC may need a parent in the waiting area.

  • Parents should be sure their child DOES NOT have any symptoms or a fever before they come to the studio.

  • Please remind your child about no hugging, and social distancing in the studio.  We will be doing our best to minimize mingling of students throughout the time they are at SPAC. However, by allowing your student to come to SPAC, you understand this is a difficult task with the nature of what we do. If you have concerns about your student maintaining social distance with other dancers, it is recommended that a parent stay in the waiting area to help ensure their child is maintaining social distancing and following protocol you desire them to follow.

  • If a member of your household becomes ill with COVID, we ask that the student does not attend class for 14 days to ensure they do not become ill. We will do our best to offer E-Learning in these circumstances.

  • If dance classes move to E-Learning, we will uphold the standard of instruction our dancers have come to expect, therefore, pricing will NOT be discounted.
